Spain’s aid to Ukraine

Since the beginning of this war and political conflict in Eastern Europe, many countries have contributed to help the Ukrainian country. Among these countries we have Spain, which has contributed both in terms of weapons and food and basic resources for human welfare.

The Spanish Ministry of Defense has announced that it will increase its troops in the eastern states, such as Latvia or Romania.

But if we talk about material aid, the Spanish government has provided defensive and sanitary material, that is to say that they have not yet sent any war material and according to what Pedro Sanchez has said, it is not believed that they will be provided in the next weeks.

This has put Spain at the back of the queue in the European Union. What will be sent most will be bulletproof vests, helmets, mine detectors and medical and field material.

But if we talk about solidarity aid, we can say that more than 25 million euros have been donated to Ukraine in only three weeks.

From Villalkor School, Madrid, we have contributed what we could, with different donations. The organization has been as follows, each class was asked for something different, such as oxygenated water and dried fruits. But it has also been open to all kinds of donations from external people or from the students themselves, helped by their parents, the most donated has been food and warm clothes.
