The next champions league will have some changes, The UEFA Executive Committee approved on Tuesday 26th May in Vienna its new format.
It will have an initial phase with 8 matches when it used to be 10 and the criteria of the club coefficient being used to assign two of the four additional places that the competition will have, will not apply.
Currently, the 2022-23 edition already has most of its participants. Between League champions and those classified via league quotas, there are only 7 gaps left to be filled to complete the 32 participating teams in the next edition of the Champions League, whose final will take place at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey and that will start on June 21, 2022 and end on June 10, 2023.
There will be 32 teams fighting for the win in this championship, some of them are: Manchester City, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Atlético de Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Juventus…
